Fed up of your morning walk making you feel like you’re walking in a crowded train station, then check out some of Bandra’s best, lesser known parks.
PEACE PARK: Not many people come here in the evenings, which makes it an ideal place to walk. It also has jungle gyms to help keep you flexible and fit, as well as a small shed in case it rains. Where: Bang opposite Otter’s Club on carter road, Entry: Free; Timing: 6am-10am and 4pm -7:30pm.
GURU NANAK PARK: Maintained and developed by the Rustomjee group, this park is quietly nestled away from all the traffic and noise, has ample seating and a great set of swings. Where: 28th Rd; Entry: Free; Timing: 5am-10am and 4pm-9pm.
UNION PARK: A nice place to practice yoga and catch up with friends. You can’t walk around much in this park though but you can do your step-aerobics on the many steps available. Where: Near Olive, Off Carter Road; Entry: Free; Timing: 8am-10am and 4pm-8pm.
PATWARDHAN PARK: Bigger than most of the other parks in Bandra, Patwardhan park is a hotspot for Bandra aunties who strut around in their salwar kameezes and Nike’s in a bid to lose the extra kilos.
Where: 32nd rd, Off Linking Rd, Entry: Rs 2 per adult and Rs 1 per child, Timings: 5:30am-10am and 4pm-9pm.
